Larry Heesacker started back in 1985 with a chainsaw and a pick-up truck. Since then, Larry and his wife, Donna have built a solid reputation as Yamhill County's most trusted logger.
The Heesackers are committed to providing quality service to the Pacific Northwest. They believe that a reputation as an honest and reliable business is the recipe for success.
While others seek to profit by cutting corners, or recommending unnecessary services to customers, the Heesackers believe that a good reputation and consistant service will reap bigger profits in the long run. By being trustwrothy, the Heesackers believe that they will enjoy a long-term profitable business that serves the community, and will continue to do so for generations to come.
Larry and Donna grew up in Yamhill county, raising their four kids here. Larry attended OSU taking classes in woodland management, receiving his Master Woodland Management certification in 2002.
Larry has instilled the hard-working ethic in his family. His son Jeremy keeps the Heesacker Logging Tradition going, having mastered several of Larry's biggest rigs, including a 722 Cat Timberking with a Cat HotSaw Head.
Son, Ben took on a management role in the company this year, moving up from equipment operator.
Larry believes in the right tool for the job, which is why he continually upgrades his equipment. Caterpillar, Timberking, John Deere, Madill - Larry has the equipment, including fully mechanized loggers, to finish any size task.
While A-1 Logging processes up to 20 million board-feet of timber each season, they aren't too big to take on your small jobs. Give Larry a call about your job - from thinning a few acre homestead to clear-cutting hundreds of acres - he has the gear and the crew to get it done right.
